Web Developers (ASP.Net)
We need talented individuals with a track record in
design and development of enterprise-class web/database applications, who
have experience of working in a commercial environment and are able to
deliver high-quality, robust software solutions within budgetary and time
constraints.
As a Web Developer you would predominantly be involved
in the design, development and testing of web components and
applications. You would be expected to be proficient in a
range of software
technologies including ASP.Net, VB.Net, ADO.Net, XML and
AJAX, and able to quickly master new and emerging technologies as required.
Location/Package
The successful candidate would be based in Central
Scotland but with the possibility of working from home on a remote basis. We
will consider candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work,
and can be flexible in terms of the hours worked and working patterns.
Salary is from £23,000 to £36,000 per year (pro-rata
for part-time) depending on skills and experience.
Main Duties
-
Design,
develop and test new software components and applications.

Maintain
existing software components and applications.

Troubleshoot software defects, recommend appropriate workarounds and/or code
modifications, and implement agreed fixes.

Produce
test plans and schedules.

Contribute
to the formulation of best-practice design standards and software
development methodologies.
Skills Required
-
Commercial web development experience - ASP.Net (VB), HTML, XML,
JavaScript, AJAX and ADO.Net

Working
knowledge of ASP and ideally experience of ASP to ASP.Net migration.

Design/development of standards-compliant web components, controls, and
applications.

Produce
clear, concise technical documentation including design specifications,
system support documents, and test plans.
